This beautiful porcelain plaque is believed to be from the early
1800's. Porcelain inset of a man with blue eyes, and a lady
with blonde twisting hair, stand out from the surface of the frame.
The brown velvatine in this frame is worn. No chips. All
original, this item has not been restored. This is a very well
made piece.
Has a marking on the back: 12 stamped into the porcelain.
I believe it to be German or Russian, however cannot find any
other signatures/marks on it.
Measurements are:
Porcelain Oval: 13 1/2" Tall x 10 3/4" Wide
Velva-tine: 18 1/4" Tall x 15 1/2" Wide
Frame: 23 1/2" Tall x 20 1/2" Wide
