This pewter tankard has a dragon
etched on the outside which runs all the way around the cup.
The bottom is made out of glass so that the liquid inside could be
checked for poison. It has 3 Chinese marks on the bottom and
another in Arabic that reads "Kuthing Swatow", suggesting that this
Chinese-styled mug with the 5-toed dragon was probably manufactured
in Indochina in the Swatow area.
It measures:
- 5-1/4" high
- 12" circumference
