Federal Mahogany Tambour writing desk over two long drawers, and
three box drawers on each side.
Central cupboard with door and lock, opening to two shelves. Tambour
on top with two sliding doors on each side of another small locking
door. The two sliding doors open up to reveal four pigeon hole slots
with two small drawers below them. Center door between them has four
pigeon hole slots.
The Desk itself has a folding down writing surface, which when
opened extends the writing surface. There is a W.& J. Sloane label
underneath, along with a stamp date of 1826.

furniture from only the finest cabinet makers in America. Like
Duncan Phyfe whose address was also in New York.
The Total dimensions of the desk are as follows: Desk with Tambour
is, 38 1/2" High, 50" Wide, and 30" Deep with writing surface open.
The writing surface open is 50"wide x 20" deep, closed it is only
11" deep. There is one small missing chip on one of the bracket
