This butter dish circa 1880 is marked on the bottom "Made by Poole's Silver Company Quadruple Plated Silver Taunton Mass. #439". The glass piece for the inside that you can see in the pictures is the original and is cut crystal. It has a knife rest on the front and the butter spreader is included with it! The lid has script letters engraved into it which appear to read "FS".  It measures:

• 8-3/4" wide from handle to handle
• 5-1/4" tall
